The SERES Range Extender is designed to work in harmony with the EV's existing powertrain components, ensuring a seamless and efficient operation.
At the core of this integration is the range extender's ability to generate electricity that is used to directly charge the vehicle's high-voltage battery pack. This is achieved through a sophisticated power management system that monitors the battery's state of charge and automatically activates the range extender when needed.
The range extender is connected to the EV's electrical system, allowing it to feed the generated electricity directly into the battery pack. This eliminates the need for any complex mechanical linkages or modifications to the vehicle's drivetrain.
Seamless Integration with the EV Powertrain
INTELLIGENT POWER MANAGEMENT
The SERES range extender system features advanced power management algorithms that optimize the use of both the battery and the range extender. These algorithms take into account factors such as the current battery level, driving conditions, and the vehicle's power demands to determine the most efficient way to utilize the available energy sources.
For example, when the battery level is high, the range extender may remain inactive, allowing the EV to operate solely on battery power. As the battery level decreases, the range extender will gradually be engaged to maintain the desired driving range.
This intelligent power management ensures that the range extender is only used when necessary, maximizing the overall efficiency and extending the vehicle's total driving range.
